The Summer Groove Basketball Clinic Featuring Alonzo Mourning and Dwyane Wade

MIRAMAR - Summer 2009 marks the 13th Annual Summer Groove Featuring Alonzo Mourning and Dwyane Wade. The Summer Groove will host more than 2000 kids and give them the fundamentals of basketball and pointers to boost their skill level.

This hands-on event will allow area high school students to participate in numerous interactive activities and hear key messages about discipline and perseverance that can be applied to all aspects of their life.

The City of Miramar will host one of two basketball clinics with professional athletes from around the NBA to share inspirational stories of achievement, making it a memorable summer experience for each child to cherish. Commissioner Barbara Sharief’ will be on hand to help kick-off the City of Miramar’s participation in correlation with her program Commissioner on a Mission.
